Reading the Bible

Reading the Bible is about developing relationship to the Father.  So many people analyze the supposed audience the Bible was written for as a way to dismiss its teachings, or in other words give them an excuse to sin.

In reading in the OT God allowed punishment to come to people why? Are their behaviors suddenly OK for us and somehow that passage doesn't apply?  How ludicrous.

God has established and protected His Word, plus He knows the beginning from the end.  It was Authored not with certain people in mind but all of His potential children.
