Any experiences based on last week's lesson?
Do we have human wisdom from our life experiences? Do we know more than when a child? Lev 19:32 Good advice? Godly advice? Is God's wisdom greater than worldly wisdom (lesson focus)? Why did Paul tell Timothy to preach the Word? 2 Tim 4:1-4 Is that for us?
Exodus 17:6 Strike the rock at Horeb, water will come out for the thirsty. Strike Christ (He died for us) Numbers 20:8-12 Speak to the rock at Meribah Difference? Moses frustrated? Seen it before? Knew how God had acted previously? Do we see God act on our behalf, then repeat without following or waiting for leading? After Christ was struck, we can then just speak to Him (relationship). Did Moses demonstrate living relationship to the Lord before the people? Could they have gotten the idea He was at the beck and call of man?
1Cor 2:1-5 v4 can you demonstrate the Lord's power without close relationship and His leading? Holy is to set the Lord apart? pg 12 questions: Why do we set ourselves apart rather than the Lord? Would witnessing be easier if we weren't concerned with what others think of us?
1Cor2:6-11 v7 God's wisdom hidden? How do we find His wisdom? Do we have to be ready for His wisdom in His mind or ours? pg 14 questions: The things important to you, will they last?
1Cor2:12-16, 1Cor3:1-3 God's truth or world's truth (not God's) only 2 options. Milk versus solid food. How can you best grow in Christ? could your answer be selfish? Bible reference? How does the Lord want you to grow in Him? Bible reference? Does His way set Him apart, and show seriousness on your part?
Isa11:1-10 Seven Spirits of the Lord, are we grafted into Him and fed by Him?
